Know Before You Go: West Coast Sevens Los Angeles
The 2026 West Coast Sevens season kicks off this Saturday, and we couldn't be more excited to open the 2026 series in LA! Stop #1 brings elite collegiate and high school sevens rugby to Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson. That means a full day of fast, physical, high-scoring rugby, plus great food, good coffee, and the best rugby community on the West Coast. Here's everything you need to know before you head out.
The Essentials
When: Saturday, September 26, 2026, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM PDT
Where: Dignity Health Sports Park, 18400 Avalon Blvd, Carson, CA 90746
Cost: Admission is FREE for all spectators! West Coast Sevens is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so donations are always welcome and go directly toward supporting the tournament and the athletes who play in it.
Who's Playing
This year's LA field is one of our strongest yet, and it has some exciting storylines.
Welcome back, Saint Mary's Gael! We're thrilled to have the Gaels back on the West Coast Sevens pitch. Saint Mary's has long been one of the premier programs in collegiate rugby, and their return adds serious firepower to the day.
New faces on tour. We're also proud to welcome several teams making their West Coast Sevens debut, including Indiana University, making the trip out west, and Mexico Anuies from Mexico, bringing an international flavor to LA.
Come out and give them a proper West Coast welcome!
Also competing:
Collegiate Men’s Division:
University of California, Berkeley
University of San Diego
Long Beach State
Grand Canyon University
Claremont Colleges
High school division:
Carmichael Hawks
Cathedral Catholic
Ombac Rugby
The full schedule and live standings are available on EventConnect- schedule HERE, and all official schedules, announcements, and any day-of changes will be posted in the WestCoastSevens App. Download it before you go!
Food & Coffee
Come hungry! We'll have food truck(s) onsite all day, plus a morning coffee cart serving up coffee to fuel those early kickoffs all for purchase.
Prefer to pack your own? Outside food and coolers are welcome, but they need to stay outside the field fencing. Only water is permitted on the fields.
Getting There & Parking
Spectator entrance: Use the entrance off E. Victoria Street via Torro Center Drive.
Parking: Lot 13 is free, but it must be cleared by 4:30 PM, so plan accordingly if you're staying for the later matches. The adjacent Lot 6 is available for $10 for the full day and is the better choice if you want to stay through the finals.

What to Bring
A folding chair. Bleacher seating won't be provided, so bring your own chair to settle in for the day.
Sun protection. Late September in Carson can still be warm, so sunscreen, hats, and plenty of water are a good idea.
Leave pets at home. Only service animals are permitted onsite.
